Appeal for return of Ripley man’s scooter

A Ripley man has been left struggling to get to and from work after his moped was stolen in Cotmanhay.

Mark Jepson, 46, chained his Honda C90 to a lamp post in Church Street on Tuesday October 30, where he met his friend for a lift to work in Leicester at 7am.

When he returned at 6pm the moped was gone.

Mark’s mum, Mave Jepson, said: “Mark bought the moped to get to and from work but has been getting a lift from a colleague since the weather turned bad.

“He spent a lot of money on it and the scumbags who took the bike have left him struggling to get to and from work.”

Anyone who has any information about the theft can call police on 101.
