One hundred cannabis plants were found as police raided an Ilkeston home.
Officers searched the King Street home on Monday night.
They obtained a warrant after arresting the home owner earlier in the day for traffic offences.
He was stopped by officers and arrested for the theft of a vehicle and fraudulent use of a driving licence.
Officers went to the address where they found the plants growing in two upstairs rooms.
The man is also wanted on a warrant for failing to appear at court.
Anyone who suspects someone of growing or supplying drugs can contact police on 101. Alternatively speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
