Creepy crawly event due to take place today

THere is still time to take part in a fun creepy crawly catching day at Red River in Loscoe today.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has joined up with Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire to get children aged six and over involved in a series of bug hunts during the school holidays.

The free event at Red River Local Nature Reserve, is part of the trust’s Getting Closer to Nature programme of family activities funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All.

The events are all aimed at encouraging families to learn more about the natural world.

You can choose from a morning or afternoon session today from 10.30am until 12pm or from 1pm until 2pm.

Anyone interested will need to call Derbyshire Wildlife Trust this morning on 01773 881188.

All children must be accompanied by an adult if they want to take part.
