Shoppers are invited to a day of activities and fun along a co-operative theme at Ripley Food Store on Wednesday, July 11, from 9am to 3pm.
Visitors to the store will be able to take part in a range of activities throughout the day, including food tastings and a raffle, with proceeds going to the Society’s corporate charity partner, Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.
The Midlands Co-operative Community Day kicks off at 9am, when children from Mill Hill School will tuck in to a healthy breakfast and then burn off their energy doing a shopping challenge.
Senior members of the community are also attending for lunch and a flower arranging demonstration in the afternoon.
The day will also include a presentation about how the Society’s Making a Difference Community Dividend fund is helping people in local communities.
