A fundraising concert for local heroes is set to take place on Saturday at St Lawrence’s Church, Heanor, starting at 7.30pm.
The Harmony for Heroes choir is to perform a selection of choral numbers, including the recent chart hit ‘Sing’ composed for the Diamond Jubilee.
Money raised will go to Cafe Heroes on Market Place in Heanor, which aims to help ex and serving armed forces personnel in the area.
Choir member Hazel Clarke, of Langley Mill, said: “It should be a very good night!”
Harmony for Heroes is on the lookout for new members and has begun a children’s choir for youngsters aged between nine and 14 on Monday nights. For more information call Alicia Hill on 07807 389356.
