The famous Alfreton Male Voice Choir is to perform at a local Carers’ Event, taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, June 11).
The choir will perform for the Amber Valley and Erewash Carers Event during National Carers Week.
The performance will take place at the Miners’ Welfare Club, Ilkeston Road, Heanor.
The day will begin at 10.30am with various stalls, displays, exhibitions followed by a light lunch, culminating with an afternoon of singing from the choir.
National Carers Week is a UK-wide annual awareness campaign taking place, highlighting the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers - to their families and communities - in providing unpaid care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.
Derbyshire Carers Association (DCA) has been supporting carers for over 25 years and is marking this year’s Carers Week by organising a host of events all across the county, from 10-pin bowling, a Carers Service in Derby City Cathedral to this musical event with the Alfreton Male Voice Choir.
