Call out to unattended Shirebrook bonfire

A bonfire which had been left unattended got out of control and Shirebrook fire service had to put it out.

The fire, on Church Street in Shirebrook, started at 9.10pm last night, Sunday, August 14.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “The fire was five metres squared and out of control.”
One hose reel jet was used to put out the flames and crews left at 9.36pm.
