Heanor traders celebrated holding the town’s the best attended market day in years on Friday.
There were 13 stalls to choose from on Friday - selling everything to pet’s food, to brand-name fashion. This time last year, there were just two stalls on the Friday market according to the town’s new market manager Ella Mcmanus. She said: “People are pleased to see it growing again - we need people to come up to keep the traders there!” Shoppers seemed to enjoy the variety on offer on Friday too. Joanne Shoesmith of Hands Road in the town said: “When I noticed how busy the market looked I was in absolute shock- it’s really nice to see.”
