How to enter Business Accelerators

The Ripley & Heanor News is

offering free advertising

packages to the town’s most dynamic fledgling businesses

worth thousands of pounds

after signing up to the Local Business Accelerators

campaign.

The package of free advertising is part of a national campaign by the newspaper industry and industry chiefs aimed at helping new firms.

The initiative, backed by Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden is being spearheaded by the voice of local media, the Newspaper Society.

Our winner of the Ripley & Heanor Local Business Accelerator title will receive a quarter page advert, which is sure to help land them new customers, that will run for 13 weeks and is worth £3,700-plus.

The second place firm will get a run of adverts worth more than £2,700-plus and our third placed company will get a
series of all important adverts in a package worth almost £2,000-plus.

As part of the Business Accelerators campaign, hundreds of local newspapers, including the Belper News, are joining forces to back local companies.

The winners of the Ripley competition will then go
forward into a regional contest and eventually there will be a national competition to find the country’s most promising young businesses and help them ‘accelerate’ their success with top professional advice from business mentors, including input from business guru Meaden.

The lucky business to eventually be picked from the hundreds of regional winners will get individual mentoring sessions from the LBA national ambassador Deborah, who will become a consultant and mentor to the firm for one year.

If your firm fits the bill then visit www.accelerateme.co.uk for more information on the.

Entries close on November 16, 2012.

Belper News Editor Julie Crouch said: “We know there are firms out there in the

Belper News’ area that fit the bill

perfectly to take part in the Business Accelerators competition and would benefit

greatly from some all important free advertising. So make sure give your firm a head start by entering the competition.”
