Heanor firm goes East

A Heanor composites firm will be hoping to secure new orders when it exhibits at a trade show in China next week.

Umeco Structural Materials will have a stand at China Composites 2012 in Shanghai, which runs from Wednesday to Friday, September 5 to 7.

The firm will be exhibiting several items at the show made of carbon fibre material, from turbine blades to prosthetic limbs, as well as tools and machines that are used to make the products.

In a statement, the company said: “Our activities are truly global.”
