A RIPLEY firm that makes dolls’ houses is to have one of its products featured in the BBC’s revival of Upstairs Downstairs.

The production office for the show called The Dolls House Emporium at Ripley, prior to their autumn filming, looking for a grand dolls’ house for 165 Eaton Place, where all the action takes place.

The Emporium regularly loans houses and miniature accessories to production companies and was happy to loan a Montgomery Hall and its basement, which together stand almost 4ft tall.

The show itself follows the fortunes of a diplomat’s family and their servants in the grand London townhouse and started broadcasting on BBC1 this month.
