A South Normanton-based training company has been the subject of a multi-million pound management buy-out by a team led by its chief executive.

Positive Outcomes, of Masies Way, was set up in 1996 and now employs 160 employees - specialising in Government-funded apprenticeships and work-based training, along with corporate training.

The firm says it wants to build on its growth over the last year with a further pledge on apprenticeships, by creating 2,000 more 16 to 18 vacancies and increasing its apprenticeship team by 15 more staff.

Chief executive Chris Longmate said: “Positive Outcomes has enjoyed a number of successes over the last three years and continues to go from strength to strength, thanks to the drive and vision of its directors. Our long-term strategy is to continue to use our professional knowledge and experience to build upon the development the firm has enjoyed over the last 12 months.”

The exact cost of the buy-out has not been revealed.
