Brothers keep charity in the family

A family of brothers – and a brother in law – are preparing for a walk from Heanor to Skegness on Friday, August 30 for Macmillan Cancer Care.

Factory worker Sean Pickworth, of 29, of East Nelson Street, Heanor organised the trek with siblings Mark, 16; David, 47, and brother in law Andrew Kennedy, 29. They are set to start early Friday morning and aim to reach Skegness by 10.30am, Saturday. Sean, the son of chairman of the Corinthian Church Rev Keith Vernon, said: “My dad has raised thousands over the year’s for different charity’s and we want to do the same.” Anyone interested in sponsoring the men can call Sean on 07825445896.
