EASTWOOD charity Communities Against poverty are holding another book sale to raise money for the soldiers’ freedom parade next month.

Books, CDs and DVDs will be on sale at Eastwood Post Office between 9am and 12 noon for 25p each.

Communities Against Poverty is raising money to buy Union Jack fabric to make bunting for the march of the Royal Engineers on 12 May.

Group member Angela Smith said: “We’ve had so many book donations I couldn’t resist doing another sale.”

The troops will march from the church in Hilltop at 10.30am along Nottingham Road to the DH Lawrence Heritage Centre at Durban House in Mansfield Road where they will be welcomed by the Mayors of Broxtowe and Eastwood.
