workers at supermarket Asda in Langley Mill are in line for a £437 ‘super bonus’ after they exceeded their yearly targets by 20 per cent.
The 258 workers, with over six months service, will receive the annual bonus along with colleagues across the country. A total of 267 workers are employed at the store.
The annual performance-related bonus scheme was first introduced in 1999 after Asda was acquired by Walmart.
Workers in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire will this year share a £1,333,097 bonus pot.
Founded in the 1960s, Asda employs more than 175,000 workers at 542 stores across the UK.
The supermarket recorded operating profits of £803.5 million in 2010.
Asda chief executive Andy Clarke’s pay and bonus package is not in the public domain.
