issued an appeal to donors from the Ripley and Heanor area to attend sessions.

Blood service bosses have issued an appeal to donors from the Ripley and Heanor area to attend sessions.

The next donor sessions are planned at Riddings Community Centre s on October 28 and Mill Hill School, Ripley, on 
October 29.

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) says it is urging people to brave the cold and the dark to give blood this month. A spokesman said: “With an ever constant demand for blood stocks, donors in Ripley and Heanor are being reminded it only takes an hour to save a life and new donors are being urged to come along too.”
