Big ballot for the youth council

Young people aged 11 to 18 are preparing for power as the ‘Big Vote’ election period begins to decide the next members of the Derbyshire Youth Council.

The election, run by Derbyshire County Council, is open to students from Derbyshire secondary and special schools, along with colleges in the county. Students can nominate themselves until the closing date of Friday, February 10. Voting will take place on between March 19 and March 23, with the results announced on March 29.
