Derbyshire British Heart Foundation (BHF) shops are asking people to set themselves a challenge in the fight against heart disease this September as part of their new stock donation campaign - the Great British Bag-athon.
The BHF shops in Derbyshire are aiming to generate 1,000 bags each during September and will need all the help they can get from big hearted locals to reach their target. Each bag is worth an average of £20.
Mechelle Hopkins, area manager for the BHF Derbyshire shops, said: “I’d like to encourage all Derbyshire people to get involved and join in the Great British Bag-athon. BHF shops sell 90,000 items daily so donations from the local community are vital. Every bag you fill makes a real difference and is worth on average £20 to the BHF.”
