Aunt was a fundraiser

Madam,

Re the Memory Lane picture you featured in the Ripley and Heanor News on January 12 of the presentation of £8,000 to the NSPCC.

The lady holding the cheque on the right is my aunt Betty Quinn. She died in March last year and would have 92 this year.

She lived at Flowery Leys Lane in Alfreton.

She was involved in a lot of things. She was my late mother’s elder sister and was the treasurer and was involved in the fundraising in the 1980s. Her husband was called Norman.

She was also a barmaid at the Butchers Arms in Oakrerthorpe.
