DERBY City Council’s Adoption Team is appealing for more people from Belper, Ripley and surrounding areas to consider adoption.
Adoptive parents are needed for children from all age groups from babies to children at primary school. Some of these children are part of a sibling group and some children might be disabled. The range of disability is wide, ranging from mild learning disability to severe physical and learning disability.
Families are needed for these children away from Derby so that the children can make a fresh start away from their birth families. Many adoptive parents also prefer to adopt children away from their local area.
Parents can be single, married or living together, from any adult age group and it does not matter if they have or have not any parenting or caring experience. There is also a need for more families to consider long-term fostering for children from all age groups.
