Our Rescue Me campaign is rolling into its third year with pride, having rehomed plenty of potentially perfect pets around Ripley and Heanor.

Back in 2010 we teamed up with staff at RSPCA Derby with the aim of finding forever homes for the abandoned pets at the centre on Abbey Street.

This year the shelter has been inundated with dogs - particularly terrier and bull breeds.

But thanks to Rescue Me, at least some have gone to loving new families.
