A wet day for Derbyshire with some bright spells

The Met Office has forecast plenty of showers today, Friday. November 7, in and around Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

It is expected to be bright for a time during the morning but generally rather cloudy with some showery rain, which could be heavy and thundery at times, especially during the afternoon.

Strong and gusty winds at times have also bee forecast by the Met Office.

By tonight, it should be generally dry with some clear spells, especially in the east, but a few showers are still likely, mainly over the Derbyshire hills.

The highest temperature is expected to reach 12 degrees centigrade and the lowest is expected to reach six degrees centigrade.
