A waste of young lives

Madam,

I feel so guilty, as an ex-soldier that never saw any type of action in my two years National Service.

I sit here in the comfort of my home, my family around me, and me, very near to tears.

Six young men, blown away. It’s hard to believe they will never go dancing, never ride a motorcycle, never see children and grandchildren, never go to Paris or climb Blackpool Tower.

What on earth are we doing in Afghanistan? Over 400 young people, the cream of the British Army, blown away and what for?

History proves such terrorists in Afghanistan will never give in.

Our money is frittered away all over the world, and yet we live in a two-tier society.

For our country’s sake, bring on the revolution.
