Motorists who park illegally near Howitt Junior Community School in Heanor are being targeted by police.
Heanor and Loscoe Safer Neighbourhood Team will speak to drivers who park on pavements and double yellow lines close to the Holmes Street school, posing a danger to children. If the problem persists, police officers and police community support officers will issue offenders with parking tickets.

Team sergeant Andy Phillips said: "People who park illegally near schools while pupils are being dropped off or collected pose a danger to children and need to be stopped."
