A FUNERAL service based in Heanor has presented a cheque worth £1,500 to the Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children (PASIC) based at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham.
Gillotts Funeral Service, part of the Eastwood Funeral Partnership, raised the money with a Christmas Remembrance Tree Appeal where relatives of deceased people could leave special messages for their loved ones on trees at the firm’s Abbott Street base.
Funeral director Anthony Topley said: “We would like to thank everyone who participated in making this such a success.
“This is our sixth year of the Remembrance Tree Appeal and this is the largest donation to date.
“Many people come back every year to write their message and see it as an important way of remembering their loved ones at Christmas.”
