Three Ripley teens arrested after hammer attack

Three teenagers from Ripley have been arrested in connection with a hammer attack on a man.
A 19-year-old man from Belper suffered bruising to his eyes, a swollen lip and cuts on his neck as a result of the attack which happened at around 10.10pm on Friday, August 29, in the grounds of Belper Leisure Centre, on Kilbourne Road.

Police said they had received reports that up to 30 people were involved in the incident.

Two men, aged 19 and 16, and a 17-year-old-girl, all from Ripley, were arrested in connection with the attack.

They have been questioned and released on bail pending further enquires.

Police are appealing for witnesses, call 0845 123 3333 with information.
