A Ripley teenager has been served with a Community Order following incidents of anti-social behaviour in Heanor.
Darryl Henry, 18, was arrested on Friday, March 7, when police were called to deal with a group of rowdy teenagers.

Henry appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on the April 10 and pleaded guilty to the offences of threatening behaviou
r and damage.

His Community Order will last for 12 months and includes 80 hours of unpaid work, as well as the following conditions:

Not to consume or be in possession of an open vessel containing alcohol in a public place except for a public house anywhere in England or Wales.

Not to be in Heanor Market Place or cemetery between 9pm and 6am.

He was also ordered to pay £319.86 compensation for the damage he caused.

Inspector Richard Smith, of Ripley section police, said: "We are concerned about the numbers of young teenagers who drink alcohol in public places at the weekend.

"It's my job to protect the public from this sort of behaviour and anyone caught supplying alcohol to children under the age of 18, or found to be acting in an anti-social manner, will be prosecuted."

Anyone wanting to report the breach of a Community Order or Anti-Social Behaviour Order is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on 0845 123 33 33.
