The British National Party has announced that its annual Red, White and Blue festival will be held near Denby for the third successive year.
Last year the event, held on party member Alan Warner's land off Codnor Denby Lane, attracted protests from anti -fascist campaigners that resulted in 36 arrests.

Derbyshire Police have confirmed that they would object to an alcohol and live music
license for the event, should one be applied for, but organisers have announced this week that they will go ahead with the festival anyway on August 13, 14 and 15.

Alan Warner has shrugged off the concerns of local residents and opposition to the festival.

He said: "I'm not really worried about the protesters and people targeting us, I'm not worried about them.

"There has never been any trouble on the site but what have they done with the people they arrested last year, for violent disorder and throwing things at the police?

"I'm not interested in the local residents, they can please themselves.

"I'm just getting on with my own business.

"We are better off without a license as it comes with rules and regulations from the council.

"There will still be music from the fairground and people can bring their own alcohol."

What do you think about the prospect of the Red, White and Blue Festival returning to the area? Leave a comment on this story to have your say.

I think Alan warners comments are unbelievable, I'm not interested in the local residents, they can please themselves.' this has shown the utmost arrogance and rudeness towards almost everybody on the street. You can please yourself MR Warner then when there is trouble caused, its about time you grew up and started recognising what people of our street really want!!

The RWB is a peaceful, enjoyable weekend for British National Party members and their families to get together and enjoy their culture. The only problem are the government and union funded, (anti) fascist, mask clad thugs. If the 'protesters' didn't turn up people wouldn't even realise an event was taking place, apart from the extra traffic on it's way into the grounds. Mr Warner probably made that statement because his property is constantly being vandalised by the local members of this group. Mr Warner has every right to have events on his land and I hope he carries on for many years.

I assume you have the evidence that proves his property was vandalised by local people then? I personally think its disgusting that his property has been vandalised, no matter what my views are, there is no way his property should be vandanlised, and Im sorry but the local people, at least on the street itself are not the kind of people that go around vandalising. Also, you say he has every right ot hold events on his land, do we not have every right to live in peace without the extra traffic and protestors that this 'festival' brings?

Mr Warners attitude towards local opinions and attittude is typical of BNP members. He cares nothing for local opinion but he soon runs to the police when someone touches his property. If it so important that he holds his BNP meeting at his small holding then perhaps he should pay the police for the extra services that have to be put in to protect local people from the actions of him and his fellow facists. Why should the locals have to pay for it?

Do you actually speak to residents in the area,Barbell?I do and lots of residents in Denby support this festival. What worries me is that Judy Mallaber and the likes of Eric Lancashire will spearhead the violent protesters that they organised last year, once again. If these 'pillars' of our society pull such a stunt again, this year, then THEY should have to pay the policing costs incurred.Mind you-if you are in Labour or Conservative 'Office' you'll probably be able to claim any financial expenses back via 'expenses',in accordance with your corrupt rule-making.Did you get that Dominic?Roll on the BNP-the only viable alternative to fight the thieves who are fleecing the taxpayer.

Denbyist you are yet another person who seems to want to steep to knew lows of patronising people with the way you speak.Tthe whole trying to gain voters based on the fact that the government are going through the expenses scandal is ludicrous. The BNP cannot as of yet claim expenses, and im willing to bet money that if they could, they too would exploit them and take advantage. Also, which end of Denby are you referring to when you speak of support for the festival? I cannot believe we are going through this same farce AGAIN, when will your party ever learn?

denbyist,

Yet again Dominic your argument is flawed as it's based on inference and not fact. When you acquire a job, you'll want to know what's happening to the tax that you pay.Well it's fact that the Labour and Tory scum have deliberately fixed the system to benefit a certain group of people in this country. And it is also fact that the BNP haven't committed the heinous crime of stealing money from the public purse! So where they hold their festival is of little consequence until the crimes of the Labour and Tory parties have been resolved.I would think that most of this country's general public will agree with that comment. I know from these pages that you're a Conservative voter and suggest that you look to cast your vote elsewhere rather than support a crooked party!

Once again I ask you why you keep referring to me as Dominic, which is extremely irritating, my name is not Dominic, and as I have said before, if it was then I would have put it as that. I am a conservative voter, and will not be voting elsewhere, I will especially not vote for a party who wants to withdraw all money that goes to third world aid. I ask you again, to honestly tell me that the BNP would not claim expenses for stupid things if they could? I just think using that argument as an excuse to get voters is weak, the fact is, the government are now dealing with the expenses scandal, and more importantly, they would not wish to cut aid to third world countries, or encourage ethnic minorities to voluntarily return to their countries, im sorry but if you are born in England you are English, regardless or race. I think you will find that if you trace you're own routes back you are not racially pure, nobody in the world is, therefore there is no indigenous population of Britain. I hope everyone realises the real agenda of the BNP and votes for one of the other parties!
