AMBER Valley is facing a growing pothole problem after the recent snow and ice took their toll on the borough's roads.
Bad weather, gritting and roadworks have left Amber Valley's roads littered with potholes, endangering road users and damaging people's cars with windscreen repair firm Autoglass reporting a record number of calls as a result of windscreens cracking after hitting bumps in the road.

More than 80 new potholes have been reported in Amber Valley since the beginning of December. Each will cost around £56 to fix.

To read more about the pothole problems, see this week's Ripley and Heanor News, out Thursday, February 4.
