A teddy bears picnic held at Planet Happy play centre in Ripley proved a great success for youngsters and will help vulnerable children around the world though funds raised on the day.
Children, mainly from Waingroves School, were invited along and asked to bring a picnic and a teddy.

Admission was paid to the charity Save the Children, which held a raffle and quiz.

Diane Eyre, Save the Children's retail manager, said: "The kids here have had a great time, but have also helped raise funds for the children around the world who most need our help.

The picnic could not have taken place without the generous help of Planet Happy."
