A lively celebration of music, dance and diversity will take place at Shipley Country Park this month.
Derbyshire County Council is working in partnership with Amber Valley Borough Council and Belper Fleet Art's 'turn it up' youth music project to host the Emerge Festival.

The free festival showcases local talent and celebrates music, dance and diversity from around the globe.

There will be an international flavour with African dancing and drumming by Tongessai and dance troupe Mpopoma, Brazilian martial arts dancing from Capoiera and traditional Chinese music by Ling Peng.

There will also be displays of street dancing, belly dancing, storytelling by Pete Chand, children's creative activities, a mobile skate park, climbing wall and craft stalls.

The Emerge Festival takes place at Shipley Country Park on Sunday, July 12, between 1pm and 5pm.
