A group of foreign exchange students from Mill Hill School, Ripley have visited the town hall for a meeting with the mayor of Amber Valley Peter Arnold.
The students from Germany, Italy and Spain were accompanied by their English hosts as part of a project funded by the European Union through the British Council.

The aim is to study migration across Europe.

Fred Barrett, out of hours learning co-ordinator at Mill Hill School said: "It provides opportunities for study in ways not normally open and our students have visited Italy, Germany and Spain as part of the project over the last 18 months.

"This group has visited the Polish community church in Nottingham, the mosque in Derby and met with other migrant groups. It shows the value of languages and the possibilities of moving between countries for work and study."
