British National Party leader Nick Griffin spoke exclusively with the Ripley and Heanor News on the eve of the party's annual Red, White and Blue event on Codnor Denby Lane.
This is the second year running that the party has come to Amber Valley for its annual summer festival despite Derbyshire Police objecting to a alcohol and entertainment license for the event.

The party withdrew the application midway through a licensing board meeting at Amber Valley Borough Council but is pressing ahead with the event anyway.

Mr Griffin told The News on Friday: "We've had 50 or 60 people on here for some day now and we've got all the main marquees up. There's still a lot of decorating to do but we are nearly there.

"It's an event all our people look forward to, the kids especially."

The party leader seemed unconcerned about the prospect of demonstrations against the event scheduled to take place over the weekend.

He said: "I think the police will keep them in order, we hope that they do. They are entitled to demonstrate and we are entitled to be here with our families enjoying ourselves as well."

Was that supposed to be political reporting or just an advert for the Fascist BNP? Where were the hard questions to the leader of political party whose members have the highest rate of criminal convictions for political violence outside Northern Ireland.
That wasn't journalism. Your reporters and editors should be ashamed to file and publish such an unbalanced and biased story.

ive just returned from the rwb festival and i hope after the events over the weekend that the people of codnor and surrounding area can now see that it wasnt the BNP to blame for any of the trouble. it was oranised by UAF and anti-fa. how can anyone justify being members of these organisations or any of the unions associated with them. disgusting that they can attack our police officers and damage private property. if anyone checks out their internet sites they had planned this violence in advance.

Interestingly enough many of the left wing websites consider the entire Police force a fascist organisation in itself so as for the unions being involved with such people - well it doesn't say much for the unions does it? Join a proper one! http://www.solidaritytradeunion.net/

Unfortunately my last post was deemed unsuitable. I had commented that many of the far left organisations consider the Police to be a fascist organisation (don't take my word for it - look through their websites), as they took to the streets with mainstream unions such as Unison what are we to make of their involvement with each other? Someone deemed this unsuitable draw your own conclusions!

ps - I hear the police raided the kiddies Punch and Judy show, closed it down and are attempting to prosecute for this heinous crime. Was it Punch's wife beating that was too much?

My comment on how the above story was one sided and unbalanced has been removed. Meanwhile BNP supporters comments are published. Proves my point about the standard of journalism here.

The people of Amber valley have now experienced the jackboot of Gordon Brown's masked stormtroopers.
They will now have to make the decision whether they want to live under politics Zimbabwean style or consider the alternatives.
