Pupils at Heanor Gate Science College tried out food from different countries when they took part in a European week.
The youngsters tasted a range of cuisines and tried their hand at different languages including Italian, Russian, German, and Welsh and students even enjoyed a continental breakfast.

The week was part of modern languages lessons and there were competitions with prizes for the pupils who achieved the most.

Kath McKenzie from the school said: "Students had a taste of different languages, including Chinese, Russian, Swedish and Welsh and there was also food tasting."

The Continental breakfast? Just like the Full English? I have always found what you pay is what you get unless you are a guest or not on a package tour or budget holiday.
Some look upon "rolls and jam" as "the continental" where as in Holland or Germany a selection of Ham and cheeses with Jams and Marmalade with eggs as you want them, and sausage and more. Not forgetting chocolate spread? Tea and Toast for me!
