A Ripley flying club is marking its 30th anniversary with a brand new hot air balloon thanks to a generous sponsorship deal.
William Bailey Ltd of Ambergate has provided more than £10,000 to purchase a new 'envelope' for the Nottingham Hot Air Balloon Club, the first new balloon the club has had since the 1990s.

The group's chairman and pilot Brian Trowbridge said: "We fly as often as we can and rely on advertising to pay for the running costs.

Clive Bailey, from William Bailey Ltd, will be able to keep a close eye on his company's investment as he has taken up membership of the club himself.

To become a member or for more information call Brian Trowbridge on 01332 552392.
