FOLLOWING last week's appalling vandalism of Heage Windmill, the volunteers rallied round and repaired the damage.
By 11.30am on the Sunday morning, the windmill was open for business as usual, with parties of visitors enjoying their visit to the windmill and guided tours.
The weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October, is the final opening of the 2003 season.
On Saturday evening, the annual barn dance organised by The Friends of Heage Windmill will take place in the Heage Village Hall, on School Lane, Heage.
There are still a few tickets available at £5.00, this includes a ploughman's supper. Tickets available from Pat Hunter on 01773 853136.
