The BNP member who will stage the party's annual festival on his land later this year has told how his property has been targeted by vandals.
Alan Warner, of Codnor Denby Lane in Denby village, a former BNP councillor on Heanor Town Council said he woke on Wednesday morning to find a torrent of abuse daubed on his garden wall in white paint.

He said: "I got up and there were three bike locks attached to my gate.

"BNP Scum was painted in big letters on his wall, along with Swastikas and other offensive slogans.

"I started to clean it but feel like leaving it so everyone can see it and see what people we are dealing with creeping around in the night."

The BNP's annual red, white and blue festival will be held on Mr Warner's land in August for the second year running but controversially will be staged without live music and a licence to sell alcohol after objections from the police and councillors.

Mr Warner has contacted police about the damage.

He said: "We are a political party and not racist as they keep making out."

Police said they were investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to call Derbyshire Police on 0845 123 3333, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

all these do gooder protesters,,if they are protesting and not looking for work they should have their benefits stopped.
we must protect our right to free speech and our right to be english and give our views without being labelled racist.
and to the vandals and morons who have done this damage to the property, you're the aggressors, you're the antagonist.you're one who will ignite ant trouble.because people and families just want to go to the rally to express their unity in wanting to be english and british, you have no right ot stop people from being or doing what they like as long as they stay in the letter of the law,,you're breaking the law with you're actions.get off you.re pedestals, and soap boxes cause you're just common criminals

As much as I dont agree with the BNP, vandalism is wrong and this is not the way for people to get their views across, and as has already been said they are the ones who will cause more trouble. I was quite shocked when I read this article, I wouldnt wish graffiting to happen to anyones home regardless of their beliefs. Cumon guys this is not the way we should get out anti- BNP views across, and i think whoever did the vandalism has a lot of growing up to do.

Well commented Dominic. Whilst I believe your anti bnp views to be wholly misguided, I appreciate your making a stand against these left wing thugs.
I remember a Labour councillors wife, after last years elections, writing in the R&H News chastising the BNP for 'hiding behind' mobile phone no's and holding meetings in secret. Well let me tell you that recently a venue in Yorkshire that had hosted a BNP meeting was attacked and also, in Norwich, three BNP members cars were vandalised, whilst attending a meeting. Add to this list the vandalism at Mr Warners home and perhaps you can see why the BNP keep their affairs secret.
Dominic, if you're looking for the real scumbags within our society you need to adjust your radar from the right to the left.

Fly Poster,

nottinghamshire 10/07/2008 22:17:43
so there you have it, I am aware that by mistake I have duplicated two names on the list, and did not do so in attempt to make the list look longer.

I rest my case.

Dear Flyposter

The people of Amber Valley will not be influenced by blatant lies. They will see for themselves that the BNP are here to improve local community life. People will also see for themselves from the above article and in August that the BNP are not the agitators in all this.

Also I don’t see why you’re so concerned because the RWB event is being held in Denby, Derbyshire not Nottingham. Feel free to reiterate your concerns should the BNP decide to hold the event in Nottingham next year.

Kind Regards
Lewis Allsebrook
