The Nuthall and Kimberley Cancer Research committee has raised £19,000 over the last year.
As well as general donations, organised events have included a dinner and dance which raised £4,000, the sale of knitted Easter chicks which raised £4,500 and a Christmas open day which brought in £2,500.
Committee member Carolym Smith said: “The committee received a number of very generous donations from members of the community. Collecting boxes at shops in the area and donations made in memorium all contributed to the total.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support.”
