Opticians staging charity coffee time

Opticians from Belper are staging a monthly free coffee event to raise money for charity causes.

Specsavers in King Street is holding the coffee morning on the first Wednesday of the month from 10am to noon at the Masonic Hall in Campbell Street.

Drinks and cakes are free with people asked to make a donation for a good cause if they want.

Charities that the store has chosen to help so far have included the British Heart Foundation.

The next coffee morning was due to be held today, August 1, said a Specsavers’ spokeswoman.
