COMEDIAN Dave Spikey explores his love of language when he brings his latest show Words Don’t Come Easy to Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Thursday, April 5, from 7.30pm.

He looks at the situations in life where words really don’t come easy. These include tongue-tied parents explaining the facts of life, ridiculous newspaper stories, poems, pathetic adolescent chat-up lines, hospital speak, learning a foreign language and an extended selection of song lyrics that range from the lazy through the surreal to the ridiculous.
