Derbyshire Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (C.R.E.S.T) will be carrying out speed camera checks this week up to Sunday November 4 at the following locations at various times:
A615 Tansley to Wessington, A632 Matlock Road, Walton, Chesterfield, A5250 Burton Road, Littleover, Derby, Kedleston Road, Derby, A6005 Draycott to Breaston, A6 Furness Vale to Newtown, A623 Stoney Middleton to Peak Forest, A6 London Road, Derby, B6057 Sheffield Road, Stonegravels, Chesterfield, Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield, A6 Furness Vale to Newtown, A57 Snake Road, Ladybower, A57 Snake Road, Lady Clough Moor, A623 Stoney Middleton to Peak Forest, A6 Ashford in the Water,
A6 Buxton to Dove Holes, Birkin Lane, Temple Normanton, A6175 North Wingfield, A5111 Warwick Avenue, Derby, A52 Ashbourne Road, Derby, and A516 Uttoxeter Road, Derby.
Safety cameras have been in operation across the county since 1994. Since then the number of people killed or seriously injured have been reduced by 40 per cent on routes where cameras are in use. Derbyshire Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (C.R.E.S.T) is responsible for the operation of all fixed, mobile and red light safety cameras in Derbyshire.
Mobile safety cameras will be in operation at the above sites at various times during the dates stated. Cameras will not be in use on the above routes all day, every day. The above locations were accurate when this news release was produced. Due to operating constraints at some of our sites our mobile safety camera locations may change on occasions without prior warning.
