Fishpond gig for Gomez ace

GOMEZ star Ben Ottewell returns to The Fishpond in Matlock Bath on Friday, June 1, for a ‘special evening’ at the revamped venue.

Ben, who was born in Chesterfield and raised in Bonsall, will be performing songs from his recently-released solo CD Shapes and Shadows.

The Fishpond is staging the gig in the Ballroom.

Ben is a singer/songwriter and key band member of gold album sellers Gomez. Every time he has played The Fishpond, it has sold out weeks in advance. Tickets will be £5.

You can join the inspection of the new look at the venue – described as ‘cool’ by Ben Ottewell himself – by grabbing a ticket from The Fishpond after Wednesday, May 30.

Doors open at 7.30pm and Ben, plus a special guest support, play from 8pm. The gig is for over 18s only.
