Bands galore at The Flowerpot

The Men They Couldn’t Hang will kick off a busy week at The Flowerpot in Derby with a gig there on Friday, October 5.

The popular roots rockers released their debut album Night Of A Thousand Candles in 1985 and went on to gain plenty of acclaim before disbanding six years later.

To the delight of their fans, they reformed in 1996 and have been going strong ever since, while also fitting in various side projects and spin-offs.

On Saturday, October 6, Limehouse Lizzy return to the King Street venue with their acclaimed tribute to the musical legacy of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy.

Leavon Archer is the performer at the free Acoustic Wednesdays events, in the bar from 9pm. He can be seen there on Wednesday, October 10.

And the week is rounded off by the welcome return of Sinnerboy, the Rory Gallagher tribute act, with their latest visit coming on Thursday, October 11.

Doors open at 8pm and admission is £12 for The Men They Couldn’t Hang, £12 for Limehouse Lizzy and £9 (£8 concessions) for Sinnerboy.
