This week we have a selection of snaps from acharitable bunch of employees from the Riddings based factory Klynton Davis.

During the 80s the workers at the knitwear firm raised in the region of £5,000 for cancer research and care departments of Derby Royal Infirmiry through a number of raffles.

Raffle organiser Mavis Bennett, now 75, of Greenhill Lane, Leabrooks, kindly donated these snaps.

In this shot from 1985 Mavis, pictured on the left, hands over cheques to Marie Butler of Derbyshire Royal Infirmiry, £500 of which was riased for the hospital’s immunology fund and £500 for its Macmillan fund.
