A CHILDREN’S portrayal of three shepherds and Joseph is shown in this nativity picture from the Ripley County Girls School in 1952.
And their make-up team looked to have done a fantastic job in drawing a set of fake beards on the youngsters.
The school once stood opposite Crossley Park on what was then known as Shirley Road.
Now the road is known as School Lane, a title it was given when the school gradually closed and was finally replaced by houses in the 1980s.
Margaret Bailey shown here as one of the shepherds, said the school had a ‘really happy atmosphere’ in its day.
