I am 60 years old and disabled, and I used to enjoy swimming in the old pool.
What, I think, is wrong with the new pool is listed below, after just one visit.
I wonder how many other things I will find not quite right on subsequent visits?
- The steps into the pool are not good for the disabled
- The pool water is too cold
- A combined male/female changing area is a bad idea
- There is no division between adult and children's pool
- It looks cheap from inside, similar to a lean-to I prefer the old set-up
I knew nothing about the disabled changing as it is not well signed, another swimmer told me after I had changed.
It appears that little thought went into the design of it.
Why were the people who use the pool not consulted in any way about what we would like?
Building a new pool was a great chance to do something really special.
What a pity it didn't happen.
