Hard at work for Chess

THE Ripley and Alfreton Musical Theatre Company is working hard on rehearsals for the forthcoming production of Chess.
The company, formerly Ripley and Alfreton Operatic Society, is pleased to welcome professional baritone and actor Jonathan Penton as Anatoly Sergievsky, a Russian chess player who falls for his opponent's Second, Florence Vassey, played by Hilary Leam.

Chess, 25 years old this year, is produced by Phil Simcox with Andy Booth as musical director and Chris Parkes as choreographer.

The show will run from Monday, April 12 through to Saturday, April 18 starting at 7.15pm with an additional Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm.
