Derbyshire is one of the safest places to live in the Midlands, according to crime figures from the last year.
Police figures have shown that crime in the county have dropped by four per cent since April 2007.

Derbyshire Police Authority Chairman Janet Birken said: "I'm delighted that despite being one of the country's worst funded police forces we continue to achieve consistently high results.

"This could not be achieved without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the Derbyshire Constabulary."

Figures for the county were in line with the rest of the country.

There are now 3,500 fewer victims of crime across the United Kingdom.
