Townsfolk are being invited to help draw up a vision for regenerating the Ripley high street.

The town council is asking members of the public to attend an open meeting on Monday, October 15, at All Saint’s Church, on Church Street, starting at 5pm, with the aim of drawing up an action plan to cope with current “economic pressures,” and the ways “shopping habits have changed,” the council says.

Attendees will be able to submit ideas for keeping town centre trade vibrant over the coming years .

The council says the plan could help attract grant funding to Ripley and more services or local projects could be developed as a result of it.

Once complete, the action plan will be submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council , which could use the results to inform its future planning in Ripley.

For more information, contact the clerk on 01773 832211.
