Derby College is holding a taster day for the next 12-week Prince’s Trust programme aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 in Leabrooks.

Three-hour taster sessions will be held on Tuesday September 5 at Somerlea Park Centre, Sherwood Street, Leabrooks, starting at 10am and 2pm. The sessions are free of charge and travel costs will be reimbursed.

The 12 week programme, which will be based at Somerlea Park, will then start on September 10.

The Prince’s Trust Team programme supports young adults who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The programme is designed to help improve job prospects for young people through team building activities, a week-long residential trip, a community project and a two-week work experience placement.
